Natural Hairstyles: Braid out from June 2008

This has got to be one of my favorite braid  outs that I have done during my natural hair journey.  Sadly, humidity got the best of it, despite all my hard efforts to prevent it. I'm not hating though, because the humidity helped to moisturize my extremely dry hair. I knew my hair was suffering when my boyfriend told me I needed to "step my moisturizing game up (I hope he was talking about my hair? lol)"
I used a new product, the Olive Oil Creme by Mane n Tail. So far so good. I mixed it up with the World of Curls Curl activator gel and my hair has been ridiculously soft for the past few days. The only drawback is that my hair is greasy as a mug though. Either my hair does not absorb Olive Oil or whatever this Olus Oil they have listed on the ingredient list. If it wasn't for the extreme greasiness this product would be a perfect 10 in my book. But because of the greasiness I knock off 4 points.
My hair has also shrunken up a lot too along with the puffy look that my braidout transformed into due to the heat

  1. I'm definitely going to follow you because I don't know what to do with my hair and I'm over the liquid crack.

    off with her head!

  2. Gurl! I know how you feel. When I decided to stop relaxing my hair I was so lost and didn't know what to do. Congrats on your decision to go natural, trust me, you will really enjoy it :)

  3. This has to be one of the prettiest braidouts I have ever seen. I would love to feature you and your crown and glory on my blog. If you are interested, stop on by and send me a message :-)
