Frohawk for Christmas

Sweet lawdy Jesus of Nazareth who was born on December 25th- those last twists I did, I rocked them thangs for a total of TWENTY FOUR days!!!!  Twenty four days yo!  And I paid for it too!  It took me about, 8+ hours to take them thangs out! I am not lying!  My boyfriend can vouch for me on that one.  It was a hot flaming mess and I do not plan on doing that again anytime soon.

I think the problem was not the length of time I left them in, but the fact that I spritzed it with a liquid moisturizer everyday and that caused the twists to shrink and make it a challenge to take down.  My hair wasn't tangled bad, it is just that my hair is really thick and my head is really big, a hairdresser's nightmare right?

So anyway, I did this style on Wednesday, it took me a little over 4 hours to do, not bad at all.  And this is the first time I have ever worn a frohawk/elvis wanna be 'do before!  Um, don't be surprised if you see a few different frohawk variations for a while because I think I am in love!

I  have been wanting to do a frohawk for a hot minute, but I never had enough hair to do it!

This side didn't come out like I wanted it to, oh well...this was my first time so not that bad:

But this side of the flat twists came out dang near perfecto:

I plan to rock this 'do for 1-2 weeks and then do something else.  No more 3 week long styles for me until the summer....

Take care and Merry Christmas!!!

  3. Well, I'm glad you got your money's worth outta the last style!

I like this one, too. It's cool to have something easy and worry-free for the holidays.

I think I'll throw some curls in for x-mas and call it a day...
