Tangle Teezer Bandwagon

Hey ya'll!  I've been visiting a few hair boards as usual today and the buzz lately has been on this hair comb called the "Tangle Teezer."

Most of the reviews for this comb have been fairly positive.  People have reported that they lose less shed hair, that it works way better than that debil denman brush *shivers*, and it makes detangling a breeze!  As some of you may already know, I bought a Magic Star Jumbo Rake Comb last summer, and even before then and after then I am a finger detangler. But daggone if I haven't been sold on this comb with so many positive reviews from people of every hair type.  They are sold at Sally's Beauty Supply and they cost about $10.  From what I hear, the teeth are really flexible and have more give, and they are seamless!  Seamless!  That sold me right there!

Sally's is right by my place of employment so I plan to check them out today and see what all the hype is about.  If you have already tried the tangle teezer what has been your experience with it?

  1. I love this thing! It really works on all hair types. Yes you still in my opinion use your leave in + sealer oil+ tangle Teezer= :). I say that because it says it can be used on dry hair but I haven't felt the need to try it on dry hair. I watched YouTube videos before purchasing and said it's $10 if I don't like it I can take it back. Luck for me it that was not an issue I'm really wanting to buy another for travel/ back up.
Watch a video or two if your not sure but you should experience it yourself I really don't think you will be disappointed.

  2. i like it! i prefer it on wet hair. i do lose way less hair than i do with my denman. i believe this works so well because of the combination of short and long bristles. like if i have a huge tangle, it will pass over the long bristles, but the short bristles will be slowly removing few hairs from the tangle with every pass, and eventually the whole thing is gone! no snagging or anything. woohoo!

  4. Thanx ya'll for your opinions. I saw a few youtube videos on the TT and the first one scared me because it almost sounded like the girl was combing her hair with Velcro! But I have heard that it just sounds worst that it really is.

Since you all liked it too...I think I might give this Tangle Tease a try...

  5. Ive heard a few rumblings about the TT too, and it looks like a porcupine, lol...Cant wait to here your reviews. Looks like it will snatch you balded...but Im a skeptic. Goodluck! BTW, is it a grip on the back side to hold it? Looks like it will give you hand fatigue.

  6. This is the 2nd blog I've read today about this comb. I think I'll offer it as a giveaway.

I wonder if it lives up to the hype, though. I remember when the Denman was the big thing. It did nothing for my hair.

  7. Man, all I can say is that my daughter has the kinkiest hair and it is LONG. It used to take me about 30 minutes to detangle her hair in the shower with conditioner, but with the tt it takes me a good 5 minutes and there is 97% less hair lost during the process. I don't know about anyone else but I am glad that I bought one. PS I am a finger detangler too but in the shower I use the tt.
